A few weeks ago I received the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara complimentary from Influenster to do some testing.
I also received the Master Precise Curvy eyeliner as a bonus.
I normally use Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, but this mascara makes some pretty big claims so I figured I’d give it a shot. I mean, thats kind of the whole point of me getting it.
Anyways, the claim is “fully loaded volume in one coat”. I was pretty skeptic, since even with the BTS I do two or three coats.
So to test it out, I did Too Faced on the right, and Maybelline on the left.
With the first coat, there’s really not much difference between the two. Unfortunately, Maybelline failed to live up to the “one coat” claim.
So I tried two coats.
This is where the Too Faced masacara starts to shine. Lengthens, volumizes, and doesn’t clump!
Unfortunately, the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara started getting clumpy. I honestly think it’s more because of the weird wand then the actual mascara itself.
At the end of the day, I would give the Maybelline Colossal Big Shot Mascara a 6.
